The new Leatherman Freestyle seems less useful than the exceptional Skeletool (and, of course, my trusty Wave and original SuperTool have their uses). Still, as an alternative to a Benchmade or CRKT folding knife, it looks very nice. To keep trim, the Freestyle has a knife (optionally 50/50 serrated) and pliers with a wire stripper. Leatherman made the decision to eliminate the bottle opener/clip that the Skeletool has, along with the screwdriver and bit holder. The result is a very svelte, very attractive package.
